rooms
each room is unique, featuring
different pieces of designer
furniture and works of art.
The 13 guest rooms of Satoyama Jujo are housed in the modern annex that was fully renovated together with the 150-year old house that serves as our Reception Hall. Six rooms face the magnificent 1,967-meter Mt. Makihata, while the other six rooms afford guests views of the forest. Each room is unique, featuring different pieces of designer furniture and works of art. Every time you visit, you are sure to discover something new.
important
*1 Satoyama Jujo is a smoke-free establishment.
Please refrain from smoking anywhere on the premises, including the terraces and verandas.
*2 Satoyama Jujo is also an adults-only hotel.
Please refrain from bringing children under the age of 12.
*3 Since there are only 13 rooms, please understand that we are not suited to handle large groups.
If there will be seven or more guests in your party, we ask that you book the entire hotel for the duration of your stay.
Satoyama Jujo is proud to announce the opening of its 13th room, a spacious twin room located inside the renovated old stone storehouse in front of the main entrance. (If you have visited us before, you probably remember this building.) Since the building is separate from the Reception Hall and the other guest rooms, you can relax quietly without worrying about making noise or hearing noise from other rooms. The spa-bath is also roomier. |

An increasing number of modern homes are shunning tatami mats, but tatami rooms in older houses were meant to be versatile, serving as both living and sleeping quarters. This room is our attempt to mesh the traditional and the modern, giving you the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the aroma and the texture of the tatami, as you get a good night’s sleep on a Sealy bed or lounge in the Tatone chairs from Italy. |
